To term this the main street in the hamlet of Lisigia is rather an
over-statement, for it constitutes the larger of the two streets which are the
sum total of the village. Opening its doors to the east is an abandoned tavern
- a high roofed stone structure with latticed windows and black wooden window
boxes. The front door is wide and welcoming, while the sign which displays its
name also carries a bowl of flowering shrubs. To the north, Lisigia's second
street begins its rather short journey out of the town. Beyond it lies a small
wood, easily visible on the gradually rising landscape. To the west the houses
and shop-fronts open out onto a stone jetty which strikes into the Darkshade
River and a short distance to the northeast you can see the waters of
Damballah Lake glisten. Strangely, though, the village seems eerily vacant. It
is as if the inhabitants were simply spirited away in the middle of their
